How are you overcoming challenges during the pandemic as a business owner?

Professionally, I try to be nimble to pivot as needed with current events. Personally, having a support network of friends and family has been my saving grace.

What behavior or personality trait do you most attribute your success to, and why?

I genuinely care about people. Relationships matter, it's not transactional.

What’s a mistake you made early on in your career, and what did you learn from it?

Ask for what you want. People can't read your mind. If you don't ask, you won't get it. Even if the answer is not what you want to hear, you are informed to make a better decision.
 

What’s one professional skill you’re currently working on?

Being brave to reach out to my network for help! I'm working on changing my mindset that asking for help is not a weakness.

In what ways are you taking care of your personal well being and what are your #selfcare tips?

#1 selfcare tip is to give yourself the grace to pause and breathe. I take a short walk to break up my day or close my eyes for a few seconds to breath deeply and re-center myself. #2 I remind myself of ONE thing I am grateful for, every day. Can be as little as being grateful for my yummy snack, having no meetings on my calendar or having the freedom to work from home! #3 Make sure you take time out in your day to do something that makes you smile. For me, it's FaceTiming with my niece and nephew daily.

How are you inviting others to take a seat at the table #virtually?

Being inquisitive! Speak less, listen more. ;)

What impact has Luminary made in your career? eg: Business Generated, Revenue, New Clients, Career Connections, Advancement Opportunities 

Luminary has provided encouragement, support and community. Cate and Erica are not only my top customers but have opened up their vast network to help my business scale. Luminary doesn't just talk the talk but they walk the walk. The sisterhood is immediate.
